ECCO is a simulation model demonstrating the interactions between national and large-scale regional economies and the natural environment. Through a holistic approach, it aims to provide new insights into the complex interactions between many different aspects of modern industrial society.ECCO is a model which measures in energy units not montary units so can be extended further into the future than econometric models (where inflation rates are unpredictable).
